Spokane, WA – September 23, 2025 – Two days of competitive women’s college golf came to a close Tuesday at the Kalispel Invitational, hosted by the Sunshine Club and the Kalispel Tribe of Indians at Kalispel Golf and Country Club. Santa Clara University captured the team championship, while Grace Lee (Gonzaga) held steady to claim medalist honors.
Team Championship
Santa Clara finished at +4 overall to secure the team title, closing with a composed +1 in the final round. The Broncos were led by Kelsey Kim, who finished runner-up individually at -4, and backed by a strong showing from Audrey Brust (+2), whose steady play proved critical in keeping Santa Clara out front.
Gonzaga claimed runner-up honors at +14, powered by Lee’s medalist performance. Montana State climbed the leaderboard on the final day to finish third at +22.
Individual Medalist
Grace Lee (Gonzaga) went wire-to-wire, posting rounds of 66, 70, and 71 to finish at -6 overall, winning medalist honors by two shots. Lee’s consistent play from tee to green anchored the Bulldogs throughout the event.
Kelsey Kim (Santa Clara) made a strong charge with back-to-back 69s to finish at -4 in solo second. Zoe Newell (Idaho) delivered the round of the day with a 4-under 67, vaulting into third at -2 overall.
Host School Spotlight
As tournament hosts, Eastern Washington University welcomed 14 women’s programs to Spokane for two days of championship play. While the Eagles didn’t contend for the title, they embodied the Sunshine Club’s mission of using golf to elevate the Inland Northwest and provide meaningful community impact.
