In the girls individual championship, West Valley’s Melia Cerenzia successfully defended her title, capturing back-to-back Kalispel Championships individual crowns with an impressive round of 71 (-2). Cerenzia separated herself from the field on one of the area’s toughest championship layouts, finishing 10 strokes clear of runner-up Maryn Langham of Mead, who posted an 81 (+8).

Naomi Molitor of Almira/Coulee-Hartline and Lily Knight of Freeman tied for third place at 85 (+12), while Gonzaga Prep’s Bayler Fix rounded out the top five with an 88 (+15).

Already entering the tournament as the defending champion, Cerenzia once again showed why she is regarded as one of the Inland Northwest’s premier high school golfers. Her under-par performance was one of the standout rounds of the entire championship and highlighted her consistency, confidence, and ability to perform on a championship stage.

2026 Kalispel Championships Team Champion Gonzaga Prep

In the girls team competition, Gonzaga Prep captured the 2026 Kalispel Championships team title with a combined score of 368 (+76). Mead finished just one stroke back at 369 (+77), creating one of the tightest team finishes of the day. West Valley secured third place at 378, followed by Freeman (384) and Colville (394).

Gonzaga Prep’s depth across the lineup proved to be the difference, with consistent scoring throughout the roster helping the Bullpups edge Mead for the championship.

The Kalispel Championships continues to establish itself as one of the Inland Northwest’s signature high school golf events, providing student-athletes with a true championship experience while supporting the Sunshine Club’s mission of elevating the region through the game of golf.

The Sunshine Club congratulates all of the athletes, coaches, schools, volunteers, and partners who helped make the 2026 Kalispel Championships another incredible success.
