The 2026 Kalispel Championships once again showcased some of the Inland Northwest’s top high school golf talent as the boys divisions delivered an exciting day of championship competition at Kalispel Golf and Country Club. Hosted by the Sunshine Club, the annual event continues to provide one of the region’s premier stages for elite prep golfers.

In the boys individual championship, Mead’s Ben Barrett cemented his place in Kalispel Championships history by capturing his third consecutive individual title. Barrett fired an impressive 71 (-1) to secure the championship and continue his remarkable run at the event.

Already a back-to-back champion entering the tournament, Barrett once again demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the top high school golfers in the Northwest. His steady play and ability to perform under pressure helped separate him from a tightly packed leaderboard featuring several standout rounds.

Cheney’s Justin Krasselt, Lewis & Clark’s Dylan Masterson, and Mt. Spokane’s Mason Dietzen each finished at even-par 72, while Cheney’s Ryan Howe rounded out the top five with a 73 (+1).

The boys team championship came down to the final scores as Lewis & Clark captured the 2026 Kalispel Championships team title with a total score of 302 (+14), narrowly edging Cheney by just one stroke at 303 (+15). Ridgeline and Central Valley tied for third place at 310, followed by LRHS at 350.

Lewis & Clark’s victory marked another strong showing for the program after also winning the Kalispel Championships team title in 2024. Consistent scoring throughout the lineup proved to be the difference as the Tigers held off a deep and talented field to reclaim the championship trophy.

The Kalispel Championships continues to establish itself as one of the Inland Northwest’s signature high school golf events, bringing together the region’s best golfers for a true championship experience while supporting the Sunshine Club’s mission of elevating the region through the game of golf.
